Dr. Dennis E. Bean has been teaching and preaching for 44 years. He holds an earned Doctor of Ministry degree with a specialization in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with a prefect 4.0 GPA. He holds the following education and ministry experience:

Sheila Wyont is a Gaston County native. She was a North Carolina Teacher Fellow and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in English. She received two Masters Degrees at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Curriculum and Instruction and School Administration. Finally, she attended Gardner Webb University and earned her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. For over 12 years, Dr. Wyont taught high school and middle school. She has 18 years experience as a school administrator. She was the founding principal of Gaston Early College High School. Recently, Dr. Wyont retired as the principal of her alma mater, Bessemer City High School.
Dr. Wyont has been married for 35 years to Bart Wyont. They are members of Anthony Grove. They have a son, Logan, and a daughter, Paige. The highlight of their lives is their grandbaby, Nora Quinn. They enjoy traveling, the beach and riding motorcycles.
Laura is our Elementary teacher. She has taught the Abeka curriculum for over 30 years in both the Christian school and home school environment. She taught her own children using the Abeka materials and is well versed in the biblical, academic soundness of the curriculum.
Emily one of our teachers. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Carolina University with a major in music. She also serves in our Bridge of Hope Daycare and Preschool. Emily is on the Praise Team at Anthony Grove Baptist Church, and she leads music in the Youth Ministry.
Denise is a retired public-school teacher. She has Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, with learning disabilities and behavior for K-12. Denise is actively involved in multiple ministries at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.
